Folks many of you are already familiar with our dog Dutches or as we call her Dutchy! Well, Dutches has moved on from our kennels to live with the Dean family in Goldsboro, NC. She has made a serious upgrade from a kennels to a couch! The Deans are the owners of one of our pups from Dutches and Cujo a few years ago. We call her the other white witch, Elsa! And since she's been there I think Dutches has put Elsa in her place. According to Mr. Dean, Dutchy is doing well and loves sleeping on the couch. We are going to bred her back to Cujo next year toward the end of the year. Once she's finished with that litter she'll be spayed and live the rest of her life on the Dean's couch in Goldsboro. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the Dean family for giving Dutchy this opportunity.
This little fella is Finnagin or Finn. He is another Dutches and Jauger pup. He lives with Bill and Margarette Marett in Wilmington, NC. He is a handsome fella but I don't think he's too crazy about his pumpkin hat!
These two are Fritz and Diva. These guys are from the very first litter we did with Xena and Jauger. They sure look good! They live with Gerard & Michele Klofanda in Westfield, NC.
This handsome little devil is Zeek. Zeek is a pup from one our last litters with Dutches and Jauger. Zeek lives with William and Ashley Kinna in Jacksonville, NC. Looks like he might be a little spoiled!
This handsome fella is Dio. He is one of our pups from Grace & Jauger. He lives with Morgan Lino in Summerfield, NC. Here is what we have learned Dio has been up to:
Today Dio is 24 weeks old, so we wanted to give you a 6 month update! He is 52lbs! He has grown so fast! I also attached some pictures because he is so handsome :) He has been doing fantastic! We’ve continued his training and he has become quite obedient! Dio has begun attending Schutzhund Club meetings and definitely has the drives for it! He goes nuts for the flirt pole and doesn’t have to be told twice when asked to bark! When working, he is intense and high energy. I think he really enjoys the sport. At home he enjoys his little jobs like carrying in a piece of mail or picking up the laundry that I drop. When he isn’t playing fetch (its impossible to tear him away from a tennis ball) or napping on my bed, he likes to watch the cats. Maybe one day they will play with him… His best friend is a German shepherd mix puppy that is only one day older Dio. Their morning play date has become a part of our walking routine. Dio is wonderfully behaved in public and loves to go for car rides! The park is easily his favorite place to go, especially when he sees geese to chase. Tomorrow we’re going to a dog friendly pool to see if he enjoys water, but I doubt he will be interested in getting in. On our last beach trip, the water was too scary for him. The entire family adores Dio and he couldn’t be a better fit for our family.
Koda is a recent pup from Jynx and Jauger's last litter. She lives with Sarah Dalton in New Bern. NC . Ain't she just the cutest! We think she may be a little spoiled!
These four pups are the newest recruits to the North East Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs crew. There are two males and two females. Their names are Damon, Blitz, Mocha, and J.B. (Short for Jelly Bean). They are from working line shepherds and we hope to use their blood line to add more stability and drive to the puppies we turn out. Watch our website and social media pages for updates on these guys. One male is going to Georgia to hopefully become a true working dog. The other three are staying here with us and hopefully used as breeding stock. But boy right now ain't they just the cutest!
All of the following pups are from our last litter with Dutches and Jauger. They are all adjusting well to their new homes according to their owners. We think they may already be a little spoiled!
The puppies above are the last two remaining black puppies from our Jynx and Jauger's litter.
There are two black males available at this time. They had their vet visit on August 12, 2019 and were given the all clear to go out to their forever homes.
Here are Jynx and Jauger's pups at six weeks old. This little puppies are full of energy and love to be outside playing in the grass. They have thier vet visit on Aug. 12th and will be ready fro release to their new homes on Sat. Aug. 17th. There are two remaining black males that need to find their forever homes.
My name is Ryan Strickland and my wife Anita and I fell in love with the white dog, "Ziva" on the our dogs page. I found an older male "Yoda" and brought him home and we talked it over and decided to branch out Strickland's Kennels into NE Cape Fear GSD. Strickland's Kennels was a working retriever kennels that bred, raised, trained, and hunt tested retriever. We bred Golden and Chesapeake Bay Retriever since the early 1990's. I still train a retriever every so often for myself as a hunting dog or for a special client. We've been breeding and raising dogs since 1993.
