Northeast Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs Kennel Facility

The kennel runs used by Northeast Cape Fear German Dog's kennels use a 2 by 4 inch wire mesh composed of an all steel 8 gauge that provides a safe environment for the dogs.  The wire mesh secures directly into the frame where it is galvanized to prevent rust and sharp or jagged edges.  The kennels also use a one inch extended base leg to elevate the kennel walls off the floor.   This elevation prevents bacteria build-up and makes washing out easier.  The doors are full swing, dog proof, lockable latch doors that open inward or outward for maximum versatility.

Our kennels are washed out at least twice daily and sanitized with chlorine with each washing.  This maintenance ensures a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the dogs.

Puppy Kennels

These are our whelping and puppy raising kennels.  The roof is insulated and the curtains are the same type used on poultry houses.  Inside the kennel runs are heat lamps that are controlled by a switch.  Inside each of the whelping boxes are three heat lamps.  These lamps are controlled by a thermostat.  Each puppy kennel also has two fans for hot weather that are controlled by a thermostat.  These kennels are cleaned twice or more daily depending on how soiled they become with water & bleach.  Then they are blown dry with a leaf blower.
Here is one of the side curtains in action.
